The Selling Process

List Your Equipment

Use our listing form to provide details about your equipment, including:

  • Product title and category
  • Manufacturer and model
  • Condition 
  • Year of manufacture
  • Dimensions and weight (if applicable)
  • High-quality images (see standards below)
  • Asking Price

 

Manage Inquiries

 

 

 

Any inquiries, questions or offers on your equipment will be sent to the email address you have provided.  Please make sure to monitor your inbox and respond in a timely manner.

 

Make an Offer Feature


Purchasers have the option to make an offer on the listed item.  Once an offer is made it will be sent to the email address provided.  Sellers can accept, reject, or provide a counter offer. Food Equipment USA will coordinate the offer communication between the potential buyer and seller until either a purchase price is agreed to or it is determined that there will not be an agreement on the price.

 

Complete the Sale

 

The purchaser will pay Food Equipment USA.  Food Equipment USA will then pay the seller once the item is confirmed to have been picked up by the buyer. 

 

Shipping

The Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements

 

Selling Fees

To maintain a fair and efficient marketplace, the following fees apply:

  • Listing Fee: Free – We don’t charge upfront fees for listing your equipment.
  • Selling Fee: 12% of the final sale price.  The selling fee will be deducted from the sale price.

 

Optional Features:

Featured Equipment: $50/month per listing (showcases your equipment on the homepage).

 

Listing Quality Standards

To ensure a positive experience for buyers and sellers, all listings must meet our quality standards:

  • Accurate Descriptions

     

    • Provide detailed and truthful information about the equipment’s condition, specifications, and history.
    • Include any known defects or missing parts.
  • High-Quality Images 
    • Upload a minimum of 5 clear, well-lit photos showing:
    • Front, back, and side views
    • Any identifying labels or serial numbers
    • Close-ups of relevant features or imperfectionsUse a neutral background whenever possible.
  • Fair Pricing
    • Price your equipment competitively based on its age, condition, and market demand.
    • Research similar listings to align with industry standards.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure your equipment meets any applicable safety or regulatory standards.
    • Clearly state if modifications or upgrades have been made.
